RetroPie's Nostalgia
September 14th, 2017

emulation, genesis, nes, nintendo, pc-engine, raspberry pi, retro games, retropie, roms, sega, snes, video gamesI feel most nostalgic when I think about the video games I played as a kid, and as someone approaching 40, I'm sure most people of my generation feel the same way. This is why Nintendo has hit it big with the classic consoles it's released in the past two years, and it's also why retro games can carry such a relatively large price tag. I have a few of my old consoles, namely my NES and SNES, and they actually work well. I was planning on getting the SNES Classic, but that looks like it may be more difficult than I thought it would be.

angelo, nintendo, raspberry pi, retrogames, retropie, snes, tech, videogamesI was planning on getting the SNES Classic, hoping that Nintendo had figured out that people actually wanted this thing and they would make enough to meet demand. I don't know if Nintendo will be able to meet demand (although that seems doubtful based on the preorder issues), but the main problem for me is that I live in Quebec. For the moment, the SNES Classic will not be available here because it does not meet Quebec's language requirements. I'm not going to get into details about that here, but suffice to say, it's unfortunate.
